University of Massachusetts Medical
School. Dr. Anderson has worked in a

Beaudoin received her Master of Social
Work from the University of Connecticut in
1980. In addition to being a licensed
clinician, she is licensed as an alcohol
and drug abuse counselor. Elaine joined
Valley Medical Group in January of 2009,
and will be providing psychotherapy
services in the Easthampton office. She
has over 28 years of experience working
with adolescents and adults in a variety
of settings which includes schools,
hospitals, private practice and employee
assistance programs. Elaine specializes in
women’s issues, couples work,
bereavement, substance abuse and adult

Ms. Fassler received her Master of Social Work at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work majoring in individual casework utilizing an ecological perspective. Ms. Fassler joined Valley Medical Group in August of 2000, providing short and long term psychotherapy for a wide variety of behavioral health issues including treatments for depression, anxiety, adult survivors of childhood trauma, bereavement, divorce issues, marital therapy, parenting skills, adoption issues and life-transitions.
Ms. Fassler sees children age 5 and up, adolescents, adults and elderly clients. She has a range of experience over the last 20+ years working with individuals and families in the Pioneer Valley in hospitals, schools, community mental health and private practice settings. She is trained in clinical hypnosis and utilizes a variety of clinical techniques.

Dr. Feinman is a psychologist who has worked
with children, adolescents, and adults for more
than 30 years. He received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Dr. Feinman has been an author, teacher and presenter on psychological issues to numerous academic
and professional organizations. In addition to practicing at the Amherst Medical
Center and Greenfield Health Center, he is the
President and Associate Medical Director for Valley Medical

Dr. Friedenson is board certified in Psychiatry and has provided mental health services for more than
30 years. He graduated with an A.B. from Columbia College and received his Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Friedenson completed his clinical training with an internship at Hartford Hospital and a residency at the Yale University School of Medicine. He was Chief of Psychiatry for the Massachusetts Permanente Medical Group and formerly, Chief of Psychiatric Consultation/Emergency Services at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society and the Western Massachusetts Psychiatric Society. Rob
has over twenty years of experience as a
psychotherapist treating adults and adolescents
in private practice as well as in hospital,
school, and outpatient settings. After
attending Clark University and then working the
singer/songwriter circuit, he completed his BS
in Psychology at Trinity College and received
his MSW from the University of Connecticut
School of Social Work in 1982. In addition
to pre-graduate clinical positions at the
Brattleboro Retreat and the Hartford Institute
of Living, Rob completed internships at Greater
Hartford Jewish Family Services and Elmcrest
Psychiatric Institute. His first ten years
of post-graduate agency work was primarily with
adolescents and families at a child guidance
clinic and at Newington Children's
Hospital. From 1989-2000 he treated
adults, teens, couples and families at Kaiser
Permanente in East Hartford. Patients from
Connecticut also saw him in his private practice
from 1982-2002. He joined Valley
Medical Group in 2001.
Rob
is comfortable working with diverse client
populations in a style that is respectful,
supportive, commonsense, solution-focused,
actively-engaged, and sometimes humorous. His approach to psychotherapy is
"ecological" in that it embraces a client's
familial, cultural, social, sexual,
intellectual, physiological, and religious influences as context for current psychological
and emotional development. He treats
patients who are dealing with depression,
anxiety, loss, life transitions,
relationship/family issues, school/work
difficulties, and other presenting
problems. Having trained with Francine
Shapiro, PhD in 1993 and 1995, he is an advanced
practitioner of EMDR, an innovative approach to

post-traumatic stress. Rob

in Contemplative Clinical Practice at Smith
College

spiritual perspectives and mindfulness practice

extensive, clinical experience in the
