Family Practice & Internal Medicine |
Family practitioners and board certified
internists provide primary care
for all Valley Medical Group patients. Our family practice physicians treat
the entire family, from babies to the elderly, and are specially trained in
internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, office surgery and behavioral
health. They treat everything from common colds and lacerations, to
fractures, asthma, diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. They also
perform routine PAP and gynecological examinations and cancer/cholesterol
screenings, and are accustomed to handling urgent needs, such as minor and
accidental injuries. Our Internal Medicine doctors are specially trained in
adult medicine and provide primary care for adults, as well as serving as
consultants to our Family Practice physicians as necessary.

Physical Therapy |

Our highly skilled physical therapists provide treatment for a broad
spectrum of outpatient orthopedic conditions. Staff members specialize in
areas such as sports medicine, orthopedic physical therapy, hand therapy and
work injury rehabilitation. All therapists
maintain flexible appointment schedules to
accommodate patients' busy lifestyles.

Our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and therapists
provide a full range of outpatient treatment for patients of all ages with
all mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship and
family/marital issues, stress, and substance abuse problems. Individual,
family, couples and marital therapies are offered. Our psychiatrists are
available for medication consultation and management. We use the latest
effective treatments and focus on reducing symptoms and improving your
ability to better manage your life.

Eye Care |
At Valley Medical Group, you can also be
evaluated by our experienced
optometrists. They provide comprehensive
eye examinations. Your vision will be
carefully measured and eyeglasses will
be prescribed when necessary to improve
and enhance your vision. The health of
your eyes will be thoroughly tested to
check for diseases such as glaucoma,
cataracts, and macular degeneration. Our
optometrists can also provide treatment
for many eye diseases including red eyes
and foreign bodies or scratches. Our optometrists work closely with consulting
ophthalmologists in our communities.

Conveniently located in the lobbies of
our Northampton Health Center and
Amherst Medical Center, Valley Opticare
is Valley Medical Group's optical
service. You can take advantage of the
superior service and advice of our
knowledgeable opticians, Colleen Nappan,
Melody Magnan and Ann Marie Fernandes. Valley Opticare offers discount
pricing and a wide selection of
frames. No appointment is needed and
prescriptions from any doctor are
welcome. Hours of operation at both

Valley Medical Group has patient drawing
stations located in each of their health
centers to keep service convenient for
their patients. There is a
full service laboratory located in the
Greenfield Health Center, providing state
of the art technologies in laboratory
testing. The laboratory is licensed
by the State of Massachusetts and
accredited by the Commission on Office
Laboratory Accreditation. Our
laboratory is staffed with skilled
phlebotomists and medical technologists
who are committed to customer service and
quality.

| Valley Medical Group is proud of
its state of the art, 2,200 SF outpatient endoscopy suite located in our
Amherst Medical Center. The unit is both AAAHC and Medicare
certified. The recovery room overlooks a beautiful view of the
Amherst hillside. The center is open Monday through Friday,
7:30am-5:00pm. |
